The Maxis-National Press Club 2nd Merdeka Rally for Humanity

In conjunction with the 49th Merdeka Day celebration, the National Press Club, together with Maxis Communications Berhad (“Maxis”), will be holding its 2nd Maxis-National Press Club Merdeka Rally for Humanity, which has been organized to benefit six (6) charity homes in Klang Valley, Selangor and Pahang and a community of Orang Asli in Gombak.

When
The event will be held on Saturday, 16-17 September 2006 from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. The tentative itinerary is as attached in Appendix 1.

What
This Maxis-National Press Club 2nd Merdeka Rally for Humanity will involve around 150 vehicles and super bikes with an estimated 500 people participating in the rally.

The convoy of approximately 150 vehicles comprises:
a. vehicles of Maxis employees
b. vehicles of members of the National Press Club
c. vehicles of participating sponsors
d. vehicles from participating Press/Media organizations

Participants are welcome to form teams comprising family members or office colleagues and children are also welcome to participate. There will be activities for children to participate in as well.

All participating vehicles will be decorated with collaterals of the event comprising:

a. A rally flag placed on the hood of the vehicle
b. Side car stickers on both sides
c. Rear windscreen stickers
d. “Jalur Gemilang” proudly flying on top of the vehicles

Why
The objective of this initiative is to acknowledge the spirit of Merdeka and to share this spirit with our less fortunate friends and the community. This initiative will also promote national integration and foster a more caring attitude amongst Malaysians.

How

1.Rumah Solehah, Bandar Tun Razak, KL;
2.Rumah Shepherd Center Foundation, Kajang, Selangor;
3.Rumah Tunas Harapan, Kuala Selangor;
4.Taman Sinar Harapan, Kuala Kubu, Selangor;
5.Rumah Kanak-kanak Tengku Ampuan Fatimah, Kuantan, Pahang; and
6.Rumah Penyayang, Pekan

Miles 16 Orang Asli is headed by Tok Batin Ulang bin Sitang

Bikers help needed for convoy

Mirza (also known as Biggie among friends) will be getting married this weekend. Some of the superbikers and SBCM members who goes for the Awana Sunday Rides may know him (the big guy on board a Suzuki SRAD 750 Gixxer). He needs some help from fellow SBCM members this weekend as he would like to get married in the presence of many two-wheelers.

He has invited all SBCM members to convoy to the brides house on Saturday, 24 June 2006. Meeting point will be at Biggie's house @ 12.30pm at No. 42 Jalan AU5C/10, Taman Lembah Keramat, Ulu Kelang. The convoy will then journey to the brides home in Setapak Indah.

On Sunday, 25 June 2006, Bikers are also invited to meet at his house @1pm then escort the groom (Mr Biggie himself) to the wedding.

Malaysian Supermotard Exhibition

SIC and Pineapple Motor Sports Sdn Bhd & MSportbike Centre are organising the first Malaysian Supermotard Exhibition on the 23rd to the 24th June 2006 (during the Japan GT weekend). The information are as follows:

4:30pm to 7:00pm Open track session (20 minute interval for novice and expert. First time Motard riders are considered novice)

24th June 2004
9:00am to 1:15pm Supermotard clinic conducted by Charles Hern (Australian) and James Robinson (New Zealander). Space available for only 20 at RM400 per person. Must provide their own Motard bike and gear. Must register before 21st June and payable upon registration on Friday and Saturday.

3:00pm to 5:00pm Open track session (Similar to Friday session)

6:00pm to 9:00pm Main Feature:
Supermotard Exhibition Novice 1 and 2 (10 laps per exhibition)
Supermotard Exhibition Expert 1 and 2 (10 laps per exhibition)

9:30pm Trophies Presentation


All Riders Are Invited To Participate On Friday And Saturday At A Nominal Fee Of Rm50 Per Person. Saturday's Main Feature Will Be Under Lights At The Sepang Go-Kart Track.

Our Deepest Condolences



It is with great sadness for us to learn about the sudden demise and departure of our great friend, club treasurer, club founding member, council member and superbiker Eddy 'Old Man' Wong Yeng Ho.

He sadly and tragically passed away in Thailand on 15 April 2006.

Our deepest condolences and prayers goes out to his immediate family.

His presence, service and company will deeply missed by all who he has touched.

As a last request made known to his son, Eddy wanted his casket to be escorted by an entourage of superbikes as the procession heads for the funeral.

We all would like to honour that wish and invite you and any other bikers to join us this Saturday, 22nd April 2006, 9.30am at his home, No 32, Jalan Mambu, Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar to his Factory in Jalan Chan Sow Lin and then convoy together to the crematorium on Jalan 229, near Kampung Tunku PJ.
(Exact route subject to further confirmation but tentatively confirmed)

Police Outriders will also be assisting in this convoy. Please adhere to all rules and safety measures to avoid any unwanted incidents. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Directions to Eddy's house: From Jalan Damansara, turn into Jalan Maarof, go up the hill, Bangsar Shopping Complex Traffic Lights turn right, and turn left at first junction.

TraxxFM and RTM 60th Birthday Ride Invite

We at Traxx fm RTM would like to invite you to join our 60 superbike and chopper Charity Ride this Saturday 15th of April 2006. This charity ride is also to commemorate Traxx fm’s 1st anniversary and RTM’s 60th birthday. The whole event will be covered by the print media, radio and TV with a camera following us for the convoy.

The highlight if the charity ride is to convoy to an orphanage in Kajang, and then to a special kids home in Jalan U-Thant. After the visit to the homes, the convoy will than ride off to Bangsar’s Oasis for the main tea party, prize giving ceremony and performance by local artistes.

All riders will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, certificate of participation and also food and drinks.

ChiangMai Bike Week 2005

Pls. be updated and confirmed that Chiang Mai Bike week will be held on Dec 10,2005 by North Comet.

Beer Garden at the back of Hotel.

The night party event will be starting at 18.00 until 24.00
Admission fee is 400 baht /person , buffet dinner and soft drink are included.
The main objective of this party is to have all bikers get together , meet, talk, drink, and have fun...fun....and ...fun.

Since the space for party is quite limited as most of us may experience a few years ago. we would like to invite all bikers join the party on time and certain number of participant can be accepted.

Chiang Mai Bike week Tee-shirt will be for sales at 200 baht with limited number for all biker who love to keep as collection. We are discussing on what we can do during the day time, 10 am -4pm. of Dec 10 ,2005 .
