If you want to experience what AutoSprint is, come and join us! The Come N’ Try competition is open to anyone over 18 years of age. You are welcome to participate in this event at no cost in your own car to experience the thrill and excitement that awaits you in motor sport. Should you be the 1st time competitor, you need not worry. There are plenty of motor sport officials around to assist and guide. Experienced competitors are also welcome.

Don’t forget your helmets as part of our safety measures. Should you not have one for this event, don’t worry we will provide them. We also permit participation of two competitors in a car for the Come N’ Try AutoSprint Competition. Prizes will be given to the top 3 winners who completes at the fastest time in each category.

Competitors are encouraged to come early on 8th September 2007. Registration is between 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. To avoid long queues and hassle, you can register online and be the first 10 competitors to walk away with MAM T-Shirts & Caps. Practise sessions and track walk about will be carried out prior to the competition scheduled at 11.30 a.m.

Thinking of Starting a Club or Ways to Revive Your Existing Clubs …
Are you organising events or thinking about it…

Come and meet us at Stadium Darul Makmur, Kuantan for more information. MAM’s Road Shows provides opportunities not just for clubs but event organisers too. We not only assist and provide guidance for clubs and people who would like to start or revive a club but MAM works closely together with interested event organisers whom are interested to organise motor sport related activities. Event Organisers can also affiliate as “Commercial Affiliates” and obtain Event Organising Permit including public liability insurance. MAM also provides guidance with event formats, regulations as well as media relations.

Need funding assistance, come and discuss with us to see how you can benefit. MAM will also help clubs and organisers to get started in organising motor sport events. MAM staff will be at Stadium Darul Makmur, Kuantan from 9.00 a.m. onwards on 8th September to attend to your enquiries.

MAM’s CEO, Peter Hansen said: ‘Safety in motor sport is often overlooked or ignored purely because of the cost involved, especially for insurance. Therefore MAM provides extensive public liability insurance for events as part of the event permit as well as personal accident insurance which is automatically included in the competition licence fee’.

Come and benefit from the services offered by MAM while you have the opportunity.

The organiser Brett MacNamara, the Manager of B.M.I Engineering Sdn Bhd has been riding motorbikes since he was 12 years old and racing motocross and enduros since he was 18 years old. Brett has completed the Australia 4 days Enduro (A4DE) and the International 6 days Enduro (ISDE). His passion and interest towards Motocross and bike endurance events has motivated him to organise a similar event in Malaysia. Don’t miss out this opportunity to try the awaiting challenges by Brett and his team!

The 3 hour enduro sanctioned by MAM is for off road motorcycles and will be a pony express format, which is a two-rider team with each rider taking turns to ride. This style of event should suit those who may find motocross a bit intimidating and relish a challenge where you have to think more about the way you ride. The Enduro is open for 3 classes and entrants can only enter one class as below:
Open : Any motorbike
Veteran : Over 40 or combined age of over 80 for two riders, any
Motor bike
Classic : Any bike that is not a modern off road bike and mini bike (to
be decided by the Chief Scrutineer)

Fun Drive n Durian Fest

Rotary Club of Sri Petaling is organizing a “Fun Drive n Durian Fest” to Kampung Titi on Sunday 22nd July 2007. The programme is an opportunity for the club members to foster closer ties with the family members, at the same time conduct a charity drive to raise fund for the SJK Chun Yin, Kampung Titi. The fund raised will be used to upgrade the office equipment, which includes buying a new photocopier among others.

In order to make the trip more fun-filled, a treasure-hunt look-a-like will be arranged to make sure everyone explores the beauty of the nature and the many interested aspects of countryside that most of the city folks tend to forget. Prizes will be given to the first 5 cars with the most correct answers to the questions.

A durian fest will be arranged in SJK Chun Yin to welcome all the participants. Farmers from the surrounding areas will be donating fruits and vegetables to this event. All the paid-up participants will be able to enjoy as much fruits as their stomachs can carry, and we ensure that all the fruits will be of the best quality.

With the generosity and kindness these farmers have shown, it is only right that we reciprocate by buying more fruits and vegetables for our friends and families. All the proceeds from the sales will also be donated to the school, so, go on a shopping spree, ladies and gentlemen!

On the way back, we will visit a dragon fruit orchard to see for yourselves, many for the first time, how a dragon fruit tree looks like. Dragon always brings good luck, so enjoy the prosperous trip.

To add to the excitement, for those who would like to explore more of the nature, we will recommend that you spend your Saturday night (21st July 2007) at the famous TiTi Eco Farm. Experience the closeness to the nature where all foods are prepared organically. Contact details for more info on the event are below. If the response is good, further discount is possible.

Registration fees: RM200 per car of up to 4 adults (above 12 years old). Additional adults are charged at RM50 per head. Fees will include pre-packed breakfast and all-you-can-eat Durian Fest.
